Printing on Textile
1 Direct printing on textile
Printing technology
The most frequently used method, suitable mainly for smooth textiles (T-shirts, sweatshirts, poloshirts). We offer printing using up to 12 direct colours, the maximum dimensions of a printed motive are 44 x 55 cm. We can define the exact shade using the Pantone Color Matching System.
The printing is done right into the textile fibres. Company logos are most frequently printed using this technology. In higher quantities, we can print almost any graphics including full-colour photorealistic motive.
The resulting print is highly durable and colour stable. Thanks to this, the textile provided by direct printing is useful for frequent wear and washing.
We can create a product that is at first look different from that of our competition. We offer printing with special colours (UV, fluorescent, metallic, phosphorus, watercolours, discharge) and above all a wide scale of printing effects. Gold and silver colour metallic printing is a given.
The benefits of direct printing:
- generally the printing technology with the highest quality
- we can print any type of graphic
- a wide offer of printing effects
- quick production (it is possible to print thousands of pieces of textile per day)
The drawbacks of direct printing:
- the printing of more complex full-coloured motives is suitable only in higher quantities (usually above 100 pcs)
- every printed colour increases the price of the print
Minimal amount:
- vector graphics starting at 25 pcs
- multicoloured raster motives usually starting at 100 pcs
Products suitable for printing:
- t-shirts, poloshirts, sweatshirts
- some types of bags
- softshell products (jackets, vests)
Recommended temperature for washing:
- standard colour (plastisol) up to 40° C
- additional colour (water, discharge) for high temperatures
The price of the print is highly dependable on:
- the total number of pieces, the number of colours printed
You should know:
- as a standard, we print with quality plastisol colours (vibrant and highly masking colours, not ironable)
- for an additional 20% fee, we can print with water colours (suitable for washing at high temperatures, ironable), minimum order 50 pcs
- for an additional 40% fee, we can print discharge (breathable print, even when printing on darker textiles, recommended most of all for fashion brands), minimum order 50 pcs
- full-colour motives can be printed with CMYK technologies (white textiles), CMYK+W (dark textiles) also separated into direct colours
2 Transfer screen printing on textile
printing technology
This printing technology is suitable mostly for printing on problematic and structured materials where direct screen printing is not possible (shirts, jackets, vests, hats, bags).
Printing is done with the use of transfer paper, the printed motif is then transferred to the textile material in high temperature. Thanks to the transfer through paper we can achieve high accuracy of the register, this is why transfer screen printing is suitable also for some of the technologically complicated orders.
The resulting print is slightly better in terms of colour and colour vibrancy as direct screen printing. The longevity of the print is, on the other hand, slightly lower.
The benefits of transfer printing:
- the highest quality of the printed image
- almost any material can be printed on
- suitable when a detailed graphics needs to be printed (fine lines with an accurate register etc.)
The disadvantages of transfer printing:
- somewhat lower longevity when compared to direct screen printing
- higher cost of printing
- every printed colour increases the price of the printing
Minimal amount:
- vector- graphics starting at 25 pcs
- multicoloured raster motives, please ask for a quote
Products suitable for printing:
- shirts, jackets, vests
- hats, bags, trousers
Recommended temperature for washing:
- we recommend washing at 30° C, ideally turned inside out
The price of printing is highly dependable on:
- the total number of pieces, the number of colours printed, the size of the motive (up to A6, up to A5, up to A4, up to A3)
3 Direct digital textile printing
printing technology
This printing technology is an addition to our printing offer for high quantity screen printing. The printing is only possible on cotton or cotton blends (t-shirts, polo shirts, some sweatshirts). We can print full-coloured graphics in very low quantities without the need of any special preparation. The maximum format of printing is 35 x 40 cm. The printing is done in CMYK regime in high resolution.
The dye is applied directly into the textile fibres. We can print any graphics digitally. Most frequently, we print colour-complex motives in small quantities where screen printing in not economical.
The resulting print is colour stable and it is the most modern and longest-lasting in terms of the low quantity printing methods. However its longevity is shorter, and in comparison with screen printing it is not possible to adhere to the exact colour shade of the model.
Caution: when printing on dark textiles a visible edge may appear due to the use of a penetrative base. This edge will disappear at first washing.
Benefits of digital printing:
- quality full-coloured low quantity print on cotton
- digital print without the need for a complex printing preparation
- the most modern low quantity printing technology for the printing of cotton
Disadvantages of digital printing:
- suitable only for the printing of t-shirts, poloshirts and some sweatshirts
- not suitable for high quantity orders
- lower longevity when compared to screen printing
Minimal amount:
- full coloured print starting at 25 pcs
Products suitable for printing:
- t-shirts, poloshirts
- some types of sweatshirts
Recommended temperature for washing:
- we recommend washing at 30° C, ideally turned inside out
The price of printing is highly dependable on:
- the colour of the textile (the printing of white textile is cheaper) the size of the motive (formats up to 10 x 10 cm, up to A5, up to A4, up to A3)
